5th Hardbody

I think I just bought my 5th ever hardbody. It is a 1989 Kingcab V6...and was a chase vehicle used by Roger Mears and Brent Foes during the last Nissan factory effort in the early 90's. It has beefed up springs and the same red, white, and blue paint as the Mears Class 7. I just have to make some time to go out to Cali to pick it up. I'm thinking about the same time as The Laughlin Desert Challenge.

Nope...that was one of two trucks used in the 1990 ESSO South American Rally. 10,000 miles through Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. One of the two trucks got 1st overall. That thing is pretty cool...it was driven by Javier Sacio. He still competes in CORR racing a Nissan ProLite.

The truck I'm looking at was a chase truck, so it's not a racer it was for supporting the racers all the way down the Baja. It has been through several Baja 1000's.

The first pic is of that other Hardbody in 1990 and the second pic is of the Mears 7 in Nevada. The Kingcab I'm getting is painted like the Mears truck.
