Sigh....ok, the above picture is way too beautiful for me to wait on this BL any longer. Here are pics of everything I have (minus 2 more 3x3" pucks that are in the mail). Please, Clay, Ian, someone, ANYONE, tell me what I'm missing.

If that's a fuel filler extension (about 2" diameter) in the upper right picture, then I think you've got all the major important stuff. What might be missing is a few minor body and bumper brackets that we can fabricate on the fly out of plate and tube from my scrap pile.
I keep forgetting to ask... is your truck an automatic or 5sp? (Automatic takes one big ugly step out of the process -- extending the shift lever.)
I'd be available to do this project this weekend or next. I really want Martin to help, I think with him and you working through the major steps of the lift and me off to the side cutting and welding up any missing brackets and stuff, we could get the whole thing done in a long day. But I'm afraid he has to work this weekend, and if it's just you (running on no sleep) and me it'll be a 2-day job for sure.
Oh, did I see something a while back about you getting Clayton's old rear bumper brackets? That would rock, because those would be the hardest thing to fab up on the fly. In fact, I couldn't do that without running over to Ryan's house to cut out the basic shapes with his plasma cutter, because you just can't cut graceful curves like that with cutting and grinding wheels alone. (Using Ryan's cutter is no problem other than working with Ryan's sometimes chaotic schedule.)

He has my entire rear bumper w/ the boby lift brackets and all. The bumper just needs to be bolted in place.

Yep, I robbed Clay of his rear bumper and some brackets/ bolts for the front bumper as well. Oh and a spider...
I can't do anything Saturday (tomorrow) because I get off at 7a.m. and have to be back at 7p.m. - 7a.m. Sunday, but if there's some hope that we can get it done in a day I wouldn't mind using all of Sunday. I just have to be back at work at 11p.m. that night.
The best days possible for me would be Monday (I get off at 7 a.m. and don't have to be back at work that night) or Wednesday (I have the day off until 11 p.m.). I'm sure Ian that you work both days so it probably doesn't matter, but I'm just throwing it out there.
Maybe next weekend I can see if someone will switch a day with me.
It's an automatic. Do you think I have all the right bolts Ian? I know before you said I might be missing some.

I seem to remember some 210mm bolts, because I remember checking the Grainger catalog and they had 200mm and I was wondering if that might be just long enough. I think what I need to do is scan the parts list I have and post it.
I would hesitate to start this project on a day where you have to be at work that night and hope to get it done in one day. Even with a complete proper kit any glitch along the way can add 4 hours and push the project into a second day.
I can get a midweek day off, but probably nobody else can, it would definitely be just the two of us in that case.
But if we're not doing it tomorrow then I'm gonna go put a new driveshaft on my truck that I just got from a junkyard, so I can go wheeling tomorrow.

Yea no chance for Saturday and it looks like a no for Sunday. Oh well.
Hey maybe on sunday if you're not busy I can bring the parts up and if you have a list we can compare and run to a NAPA or something and atleast complete the Franken:crazy:kit. After 5pmish is when I'll be free because if we're not gonna work on the truck I need to go look for a place to live come August when my lease is up.

Alright, Sunday the 29th I get off at 7a.m. and I'm off the rest of the day and all day monday. In fact I don't return to work until 3p.m. Tuesday. This is the most time I'm gonna get off in a row anytime before the Ouray trip so I'd really like to do this at that time. Ian, is this possible? Even if it's just us 2 Ronin wise I can probably get a friend of mine to help turn a wrench.
If it takes 2 days I'm ok with that, I guess it's just up to you if you wanna leave my truck in pieces on your property. I can get a ride at the end of the 1st day and the beginning of the 2nd.
If this is ok with Ian, is anyone else available on Sunday the 29th or Monday the 30th to drop by and advise where they can? Pizza and beer fo sho.

Those dates will work for me. I'll let the folks I work with know I probably won't be in on Monday. There's nothing special going on that week at work so that shouldn't be a problem. (We have a product release due about mid-August, but I'm way ahead of schedule for my part of it.)
There's no problem at all with leaving it in the garage overnight if we don't get done on Sunday. If I got my act together and did a little housecleaning you could crash in the spare bedroom overnight.

Wow, what a great guy!
Alright well I'll ask around and see if someone is willing to give me rides just in case.
Cool! So we're on for sunday. Are you ok with me getting off at 7 and just going home to change and then hitting the road? I think if we can start right away on sunday and get this done in one day that would be feckin' fantastic.
Can you talk to Martin and see what his plans are on sunday/monday?

Talk about bad timing. My company is sending me to Austin for a week or two to help out and I'm supposed to report to their office 7am monday. However, there's a fairly good chance it'll fall through and I'll be free sunday. But I'd plan on me being gone saturday through the next couple weeks.

An early start Sunday works for me -- I usually get up between 4 and 5am on work days (just so I can get into Boulder ahead of the traffic and then I get to leave mid-afternoon).
Martin, I think you need to get over to my place some evening this week, so that we can re-torque your body bolts, and also so that we can make a template of that body stabilizing bracket that isn't in the frankenkit.

Damn, well....Not to intrude but I know that Brendon wants to do a PML this weekend and I am sure that he would probably be willing to help. He wants to come to CS to do it with me. <---The PML that is you perverts, and I am not sure about my work schedule. The only downside that I see with this is it might take away from time spent on the BL.-James

Yea James I'm always willing to help anyone, so if he shows up this weekend and wants help the next I'll be there. Hell, even if he doesn't show and wants help the next weekend I'll be there. After everything I've pilfered from the Ronin community I have quite the tab to pay off.
Since it looks like a plan, what do you guys want as far as refreshments? If no one cares about the beer I drink Corona so I'll just bring some of that. If you want something else lemme know cuz I'm buyin.

Errr, of course, don't actually *buy* any water. I refuse to drink bottled water, because I'm all too aware of the fact that it's exactly the same water that comes out of your tap. Well, actually, the water that comes out of Denver taps is way way better than the city water used for most bottled waters.
All you have to do is look at a bottle of Evian in the mirror to understand the beverage industry's view of their average customer. :)

When I got home from work today I noticed a major story on CNN Headline is that Pepsico has had their corporate arm twisted into printing something on the labels of Dasani water to let people know it's just tapwater. Pretty odd that that should come up on the day I decided to rant about it.

I just remembered about those missing long metric bolts, did you ever get them? It was 2 each of
M10 x 1.25 190mm
M12 x 1.25 210mm
I checked at Tennyson hardware when I was there today (that's what made me remember, actually), and they don't have any that long. If you don't have them, let me know and I'll run over to Fastenal in the morning (I think they're open Saturdays, but not Sundays).

I don't think it's safe to assume the bolts from the original kit are right, and I wanna know more about the second set the has appeared in the photos.
Most of the kit bolts have matching nuts and any old bolt can be made to work if one is missing, but for those two sets they thread into weld nuts in the body and you can't make-do with something that's almost right.
They're metric fine-pitch bolts which are always hard to find. That's especially true of the M10s because the common fine-pitch thread for them is 1.5, but these are 1.25.

Kewl, then we should be good to go tomorrow. The only other things that're missing are little things that'll be easy and fun to fab up on the fly, like a bracket for the power steering reservoir, that sort of thing.
Oh, someone asked for my address earlier, Here it is (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=3850+depew+wheat+ridge+co&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=53.345014,59.501953&ie=UTF8&om=1&ll=39.772889,-105.057192&spn=0.025563,0.04313&z=15)

Heh yea I might need to grab some "dinner".
It definatly won't be like 8a.m. on the dot that I show up. After work I have to go home and load everything up into the truck, take a shower and change, hit the store and probably eat. It'll be like between 8:30 - 9 I'd say.
Hopefully I got all the bolts. Sorry I would've got back to you about this while hardware shops were still open but I was sleeping all day. I kind of had a wierd couple of days. On Thursday/Friday I worked from 11pm Thursday until 3pm Friday, went home and passed out, woke up and went back to work at 11pm Friday until 7:15am Saturday, then when I got home I felt weird because usually I sleep but since I had woken up at 10pm the night before I wasn't too tired. So I cleaned the house and did some other stuff and somehow passed out again until like 6pm. Then saw Transformers until it was time to go to work, which is where I am now. Might make some people  but I'm rollin' with it.
I hope no one was counting on Corona (didn't seem like anyone besides me would be drinking anyway) because I slept through liquor store hours. I'll still swing by the store and get the other stuff.

Just to be safe, undo the rear most bolts and make sure what he has threads in correctly before going on. It will take five minutes and will save hrs if the bolts end up being wrong. I'm sure they're fine but don't want you cussing me it something is different on the crew cabs. :)

Yep, we're still working on it. We knocked off about 8pm last night because Nate was running on fumes (he'd been awake like 30 hours). There lots of putting little things back together that we've got to do today, plus we've got to find those M12 x 210mm bolts.
We've also got to fix a few problems that already existed that we found along the way, like the alternator seems cocked at a funny angle, as if one of the mounting bolts is broken (we haven't looked at it closely yet), and the driver's side motor mount is partially torn.
