Im looking to get some new shocks. I have the 3' SL calmini shocks on right now but i think that they are getting old. I was wondering what would be good shocks to replace them with. I have the 3" SL calmini kit on my xterra now. I was looking at Bilstein maybe 5100 or the 5150 but not sure. Trying to keep it cheap but not cheap enough were the shock fall apart on you. Thanks for the Help.

Go with the Bils, either 5100 or 5150 will work. Best place I've found to get them is from www.spencerlowracing.com.

I'll second the Bilstein recommendation. You'll actually notice right away how much better they are than the crap springs that Calmini slaps their logo onto. (When a lift kit maker won't even let you know who the OEM is for their shocks you can bet they bought the cheapest asian import crap they could find to make a few extra bucks on the kit.)

LOL ... when you pull those shocks off you will be able to compress em with your pinkys!!!! Get the bils and you will not regret it.

Like Tyler said, your best bet is SLR (Spencer Low Racing). I bought mine from Truckpring.com and now I have the wrong rear shock.

Thanks for the help eveyone. One more question, what is better the 20% stiffer or the 10% stiffer or is OE? is there a difference?
