A couple weeks ago, a few of us here in Colorado put a 2" body lift on my 03' X...Ever since then I have noticed a creaking noise...the noise is apparent when going between 0 and 20 mph and there is any type of turning involved and I have even noticed it when I get in and out of the X...I though it was the seat from searching through other topics and have even re-torque the body bolts with searching through the site even more...neither have helped...any ideas!? What is the spec torque for the body bolts? Have checked the steering and that's not the source of the creaking either...thanks~

Check the drive shaft loop. Mine the same thing, I had to "redo" the extensions.

I guess I'm going to ride it out and go from there...re-checked everything last night and everything was still tight and fit properly...it seems to be better when above 75 degrees outside...thanks again...
I had the same issue with my body lift. I had it done at a shop and i thought that there was a issue but they said that it just takes a bit to get settled. I think that the creak lasted for about a month or so. Where is the creak at? mine where in at the two blocks in the front.

mine creaked, so i tightened the bolts till it stopped. torque specs are usually not important, tight's tight and too tight's broke.

It sounds like the creak is up front or under the seats...going to pull the drive shaft safety loop bolts tonight and see if that where it is coming from...

I had some creaks after my lift coming from the rear going around corners. The bolts were all tight, but I noticed that the rear washers could move on the rearmost bolts. The bolts were a bit to long & felt tight since they bottomed out. I added a few more washers & retorqued, the creak is gone for almost 2 years now. This could be the case with the body bolts in the center of your truck. Noise travels in weird ways.

Took off the safety loop and put in two additional washers per side and tightened them down again...no more noise...thanks guys...

Yup, took me a while to figure mine out. I thought there was something loose in the seat.

mine creaked behind the front seats at the mid body mount (the ones that threads into the frame). I retightened them a week later but it didn't go away. Then, after three weeks and two wheeling trips, it stopped and I haven't heard it since.
