Well when i got my lift/steering stabilizer from 4x4parts it looked to be a bit beyond my knowledge to install so I took it to my local shop that I use.

Well today they are calling me claiming some bolt into the steering box is too big. (or something with a bolt and a hole not lining up it was hard to understand the tech)

Also I got the Steering Enhancement Package kit too and they claim a part on that wont line up.

I am still trying to get more details and might try to go get some pictures but I wanted to start a thread so if anyone remembers something off the top of there head that was a issue with there lift install w/ steering stabilizer they could throw in some input.

I have also called "TechSupport" for the lift but I can only leave a message and havent gotten a call back.

Well after about 3 months and some fabrication and who knows how much $$$ we have:

I enjoy it now that i have the tires, just waiting on the center caps for the rims to come in...

Old school picture for comparison:

The steering stabilizer shouldn't attach to the steering box side. It also doesnt use the factory mount on the centerlink (if you have one). It should run from the passenger side frame to the centerlink. The long bolts replace two of the bolts on the idler arm bracket.

Here is a pic with the issue why the shop wouldnt install the steering stabilizer....

I will quote what DamnHippie PM'd me about because he explains it better...

"there's something odd about your frame and that empty hole above the idler arm doesn't go all the way through. There's like an extra c-channel inside the frame that's in the way of even trying to drill it through.
"

This made the shop nervous to drill through the extra support and I made the final call to hold off. I might go back with the suggestion DamnHippie made about using a smaller bolt in the upper hole since it seems not to be much of a load baring hole just something that keeps bracket in place.

Thanks Hippie I will pass along your input since I wouldnt mind having this installed.
