I just installed my new shocks and here are the differences I noticed.
Since the shocks are nitrogen charged the rear is stiffer over the old RS9000 shocks.
The front is a dramatic improvement over the old Calmini shocks (blew one out in Moab). The only thing about installing these shocks is it is really tough to install them with the tires still on. Since the shocks are nitrogen charged it makes it tough to line up the bottom mounting point.
Size difference is pretty obvious

In a little while I will install the in cab remote and the steering stabilizer and update this page.

I have 'em in the rear, but heard they wouldn't fit in the front? How do they fit?

Its tight but they fit with the Calmini UCAs. I took them down a rough dirt road and bottomed them out pretty hard with no damage.
I don't know about any other UCAs. If you had a tubular UCA I don't think it would be a problem.

Here are some pics. The clearance is tight, but I guess time will tell.

geez, how much travel do you have?

Not much. It is the same travel as stock (stock bumpstops)

Yea that's pretty tight, but doesn't seem too bad. Let us know how it goes.

Looks to me like the boots are going to get torn up, but the boots are ugly anyway :D

Yeah the old Calmini boots were torn to hell. I'm not to worried about that though. So far I am very happy with them.

Digging up and older thread to see how the shocks have held up.
I need to get my set of shocks on order soon and wanted to see if there are any issues that you have encountered.
Is there a way to order a stiffer product? The Bilsteins were always spec'd: stock, +10%,and +20%. Anything similar?

You should really look into Timbren bumpstops bro. As soon as I get my tires done thats the next thing I'll be looking into. One of the guys on newx dropped his front suspension from a rock about 2-3 feet off the ground with zero damage, zero bottom out and zero wear on the bumpstops. They are pricey but definately worth it.

I haven't had any problems with them. My Alcan springs put a small dent the the rear shocks but I talked to Rancho and they said that the shock body is really thick and that it wasn't a problem.
They will be for sale in a little while when I start the SAS along with some other goodies.

I traded something for a set last year at goneMOAB, thus I need to get them on order. The gap between Calmini UCA and shock looked tight.

The gap between the UCA and the shocks look worse than it really is. It is just hitting the shock boot that when compresses bows toward the UCA.
