I'd love to go, some of the best wheeling I've ever done in my life was in AZ. I won't know whether I'll be able to go until probably a couple weeks before the event; my work schedule tends to be chaotic.

Thanks for the dates and the link. My truck won't be ready to do that stuff by then. Maybe AZ IX or X. Good excuse to explore AZ more rather than just drive through as I normally do.

I think it will be another year for me. Don't really have a camping/trail rig at the moment. Good chance a 14 bolt will be getting broke-in on the way to AZ in 09.

We made it back safe and sound. We had an amazing trip. As the T-shirt says, "Mesa to Payson the hard way". With the exception of about 15 milles of highway, it was rugged desert trails, rocky washes and narrow-shelf mountain switchbacks.

We set up and broke down camp a half-dozen times like a M.A.S.H. unit. My two boys (9 & 12) were so proud to be a part of it. They both did their parts on que, which made more time for playing.

Only made it through a couple of the pic folders, but it does look like fun was had by all. Going to try to keep the vacation time to head down next year though.
