Ok...today I took out my fourth front brake line and had an apithany...I'm not sure how I missed it before but I feel like a dolt.

I'll buy a beer for the first person that figures out my problem.

This picture is looking down from above the tire/hub with the steering cranked to one side.

Looks like when it's cranked the brake line gets pinched between the caliper and the axle tube.

I'm holding the brake line at the angle it was attached about an inch from where it belongs.

Ahh I got it. I was looking at the wrong part of the caliper. No idea what it's catching on from the picture.

You have leafs....do you have a problem with axle wrap?

Also, as you experience uptravel with that wheel the brake line fitting is going to get closer to the shock body.

Hitting the shock?

Bingo! Push the front tire into a rock at full turn and the 1/2 inch of space quickly disapears. I also think tmorgan is right...as the axle flexs out, it gets worse.

It's easy to fix, I just need to losen the banjo bolt and twist the line 45 degrees so that it comes out the top of the caliper. Can't belive it took me 4 broken lines to figure it out.

I'll buy all three of you a beer!
