Why do I like the condos?

• BIG Kitchen (you dont have to eat out every night), Living Room and Dining Room, so lots of space to spread out.
• Some units are dog freindly,
• Cable TV, VCR/DVD and Stereo
• Gas grill on your private patio, I LOVE TO BBQ!!!
• Refrigerator to keep drinks/food cool, freezer for Ice & Ice Cream.
• Central Air conditioning... I am a mountain man.
• Gas log fireplace.. ummm dont care it is HOT!!!
• Washer and Dryer so you can wash your clothes if needed.
• 2 Car Garage with ample storage & an outside concrete pad to work on. Last year we brought tons of spare parts. The garage made a great place to work and store the odd items.
• Swimming Pool and Hot Tub, After a long day on the trail its nice to cool off and relax the muscles with a mixed drink.
• All the basics are there its amazing!!! Dishes, Glasses, towels.
• I checked and some units do have high speed internet.
• Cheeper than a hotel if you split the costs with a group of folks.

If I don't end up with a condo, would you be willing to let me leave my dog there during the day if it gets to hot?

Shouldnt be a problem... we have the garage and the tiled area inside we can lock off.

Cool, either should work. I don't have a comfy cab for her to ride in if it gets to hot.

For those of you not in the cabin:

I know of 6+ free campsites about 10 minutes outside of town that are great for 2-3 vehicles and people/gear as well. They are a short trail drive off the highway, but noone knows about them (they are usually deserted) and have some great scenery.

If anyone is interested, I could probably look on google maps and pinpoint them for ya.

Anyway, just a thought to save some people money...

Alright, it is kinda hard to tell exactly where the campsites are, but this should help in getting to the general area. The area between the two campsite pins should contain a couple good ones. This is BLM (Bureau of Land and Mining) Land, and is free to use.

Where its at:

Coming from I-70, look for a foundation and a small monument. The turn is right after this. (Left)

Overview of Trail:

This is where you need to turn off the main trail. You will make a right turn, at the Y in the trail.

Some good campsites are located between these two markers.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/nk2007/4.jpg

Some that I've stayed at:

One is right near the first campsite marker. It is to the right of the trail, and there is a sort of driveway. This campsite has a nice common area and then leads down to a dry riverbed which is soft and great for tents. There are trees that cover the river to provide shade.

The other is somewhere past this. I couldn't find it last time i went, but it has 2 spots for cars, one on either side of the trail. Should be some cliffs (down) to the right of the trail, overlooking the slickrock, and to the left there are some bluffs. There should be a huge boulder to the right of the trail (25-35ft tall)

Hope this helps, and if you can't find either, just make sure the vehicles are off the trail a good distance (15 ft at least) and set up camp!
