Calmini Front, home made rear.
Thinking of having a tube one like this PIC 1 (http://pics.montypics.com/nissanclay/2007-02-20/1172033600_tacoma_front_bumper.jpg) PIC 2 (http://pics.montypics.com/nissanclay/2007-02-20/1172033573_front_bumper_side_view.jpg) built. Anyone know a good shop That can do work like this and do tube bends that follow my weel wells?

I'm having a guy that builds dirt track race cars build mine, but to make a large curve that size I don't know who could do that.

Whatever I can get out of the two Calmini bumpers I already technically own. :D My dad knows a guy that builds race chassis that I might call but I won't be able to get anything done till the new year.
I never wanted to get one like the Calmini, I've always liked the tube (less weight, less bulky). At the time I got it from Cam it was the best option I had.

I''m boring sticking with Shrock, but they are real functional and look decent. On the 2nd gens the front attachment is way better than the 1st gens, so the bumper is much stouter. The rear is also nice since you can still fit a 33" tire underneath (I only have 32's).

I built a rear bumper last winter. I'm gonna make a front one later this winter. Here's the rear just before I installed it, and from a trail run earlier this year. It's also designed with an integrated receiver so I can move my winch to the back if needed...

I was going to go custom, but didn't have the time or the energy.....
Shrock was an easy decision, shipped to my work, unbolted the old, then on with the new.....

That's my rear bumper, 4x4x.250 and some 3/8x4 flatbar. My front is still stock for awhile longer, all fatigued and beat then beat back into normal shape again. I'm hoping to replace it this summer with something that looks similar to the rear bumper only that wraps around to the fenders. Probably will be chopping the bed and doing something like what DamnHippie did on his rear bumper as well. Eventually.

Custom tube rear with receiver for winching/towing. It started out like this...

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/10/web/2218000-2218999/2218930_127_full.jpg
....and ended up as a full wrap with cut and re-flanged fenders.

You guys are starting to turn me on to tube bumpers. I'm sporting Ryan's old back bumper; 4"square + 3"square angled on the end with two D shackles. It's ridiculous, the toughest part of the truck.

Thats why I was trying to find a shop that can do it. I just want the bends then I'll weld them up. Unless they trow it in with the tube bumper build. Still, anyone know a place?

Ryan, that second bumper is the same one I posted back in reply #4 of this post. Except the one I posted is silver instead of black. Thats the bumper I wanted before I got the Calmini. I was going to have a shop built it for me but they flaked out.

Ya the second unit looks really over engineered on the bottom side. The first unit is a winch plate first... with a bumper attached. The second unit seems to be a bumper first then an attempt to beef it up enough for the winch.

See now this makes me want a new tube bumpers too! it sucks I get on these sites get all excited because I know on the 15th of every month when I get paid i could get bumpers, lift and new tires and rims. I start daydreaming/drooling then "bam" reality kicks in and I realize I have to pay off my debt from the good ole drinkin days. Stupid financial plan. WTF! I like the units up above although I have no use for a stinger. One day when I get one I do want the reciever hitch up front though.

I know a place Clay, it is in the Springs though but it is an awesome job. I quarantee satisfaction. It is one dude, named Jed, whom I am in cahoots with. Tell him James sent you.
Everyone else might want to check out some more of his quality work too.

Armorology definitely makes some nice stuff. I talked with Jed a while back about getting one made but it wasn't going to be cheap. Expect to pay $1200+ but know you're getting something well built.
