I am finally ready to do a 2 inch body lift and a PML to my 06 X. First off if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to achieve this that would help me out greatly since I have no experience at all and this is my first truck. I want to fit 33in tires when this is done. The new tire thread is great help. Also I have a two car garage in Highlands Ranch so once I get everything together I will supply all the beer and food. I have access to tools, but do not know what I need for this type of lift. Thanks for any help.
Also I saw the Zebra X at Best Buy today and it looked really good. That sparked my interest even more to take this on.

I don't know anyone that has done a body lift on a 2nd gen, but from what I've heard it's a PITA compared to the 1st gens. Also, you can fit 33s on your 2nd gen with no lift from what I've heard so you PML would be fine and the PML + BL would be more than enough.

The higher the better though =). PM Ian, DirtyHippie, he might be able to lend some advice as to what to do with the lifts.

I don't know anything about lifting 2nd gen rigs. In fact, I've only seen a 2nd gen X up close once (wheeling with XterraRN last summer).

nice! somewhere were im finally useful. the second Gen X and frontier are practically the same thing. You have a couple options for a 3" suspension lift, anything above that requires a drop bracket kit and $$. you can get spacers (billet aluminum discs that go on top of your springs); however on frontiers those can cause coil bucket contact without aftermarket control arms. you can get longer springs, harshens the ride a bit though. The most expensive but best option is Coilovers. THe radflo coilovers provide a very smooth ride. You can also put Total ciaos Upper control arms on. CHeck out 4x4parts.com for springs, and prgproducts.com for the other stuff. Greg, the owner of PRG is awesome and will tell you anything you need to know. ThenewX.org would also be a great resource for you.

I've got the TC UCAs and the radflo coilovers, Alcan springs in the back. Jollyman has a little more budget friendly setup I believe.
