Hello All -
I just ordered a 3" body lift for my Pathfinder. If i understand correctly, the only difference between the 87-89 lift and the 90-95 lift is the length of the two rear most bolts.
Also if I understand correctly, the 90-95 Lift kit AC sells is a 87-89 kit that they added two bolts to.
I chose to take a chance and order the 87-89 kit. I was $50 cheaper and included free shipping from 4wheelparts.com. Shipping included thats almost a $75 discount. (almost 50% off due to the fact that the kit is only $100)
Can anybody confirm this? If so, where can i purchase the different bolts.
Also the kit says that it uses grade 5 hardware, should i upgrade to grade 8, or is grade 5 ok?

Grade 5 is fine. But if those rear bolts are longer than 180mm, good luck on finding them. Neight had to order a pair of 210mm when we put together his frankenlift project, and it cost him like $20 or something for 2 bolts.

If someone can verify the size you need, I've found a few pretty good places to buy odd fasteners up here in Fort Collins.

I have heard two different bolt sizes:
M12 1.25 pitch 180MM length
M12 1.25 pitch 190MM length
Can anyone confirm the lenght?

Better off cutting through the floor and changing out those nut plates to a bolt/thread you can find. The plates just float in that box under there. Pull up the carpet and cut two holes centering on that box. The plates can be pulled out, cut off the metric nut ,and weld on whatever new one you find.
LOL, those bolts also freeze up over time! If they are froze up good luck!
It is no secret I am not a fan of frame lowering kits.

If we had had a plasma cutter available, I might have gone that route on Neight's frankenlift, instead of ordering the expensive bolts. (It's the metric fine pitch that makes the long bolts hard to find. Normal-pitch long bolts are easier to get.) On his crew cab truck, the nut plates were housed in this little box thing accessible from outside/under the truck, but there were no good angles to get into the box with a sawzall or grinder/cutter.

i looked high and low for those bolts, went to every metric nut and bolt store in denver, asked and co4x4 and went everywhere they said to try, and couldn't find anything longer than the stock bolts in that thread pitch. either do what ryan said, or call ac and order the bolts from them. will be about 10 bucks each plus shipping, but it will save you a big headache.

I plan on buying a 3" BL here soon with some incoming money. Taxes maybe. So if you wanna wait for a bit for the install we can maybe do another mod day in Denver and get a bunch of people to show up and knock out some lifts
Kind of a run on sentence eh?

Sully - PM Ditchfinder.....he may have a BL kit for cheap.
I will be traveling quite a bit this next month or so... I am not too sure about the timing available to finish this project.
