Hey guys, let me know if this is against club rules or anything. i just wanted to tell you ive started a little side thing for helping other club members out.Basically i work for a company that deals with Orgill hardware, Do-It best hardware, ORS nasco and parts plus. SO pretty much anything you can get from those places; i can get for you way below retail. I made up a little site to help people.

http://shifttools.googlepages.com/home

So i can get you guys a huge discount on basically any tools or stuff like that. currently i have true Hi-Lift jacks at $60. What do they cost in stores?

But im just trying to help people out, not advertise a business.

First, this is not a club :D

Second, I don't see any issues with it, we all love a good deal :D

60 seems like a decent price to me.

yeah. im just used to being at "CLubFrontier." Im just trying to help people save money. I work at a Industrial supply store and can buy things at cost, then sell them to you guys way under Retail. and quite a few things are pretty jacked up.

Do you have permission to buy at a discount for people other than yourself? It's great to be a nice guy and all, but not worth losing your job over.

I can get stuff from Grainger for a 30% discount because my wife works there. But they have pretty firm rules that only immediate family members can get the discount, and nothing can be for resale. (On the other hand, Candy is quitting Grainger soon, so that rule means less to me than usual. If anyone needs anything, you've got about 2 weeks to ask.)

Im all good. My boss doesn't care because we deal mainly with drilling rigs, so this is pretty insignificant and wont cause a lost profit.

i can get 220v welders. i bought mine through one of these companies $100 cheaper. ill PM you

Grainger has a variety of 220v MIG welders ranging from $850-2800 (before discount).

One thing about Grainger, they only stock the best quality equipment; they're at the extreme opposite end of the retail spectrum from Harbor Freight. (And it seems I spend roughly equal amounts of money at both places over the course of a year.)

Naw, looking at a couple houses to buy at the moment and I told the wife when we step up and buy a house, that I get a welder and she said: Duh...

An IronMan 210 would be $1100, a Miller 210 would be $1300, (+tax on both). Odd that the Miller costs more, given that Hobart is also made by Miller. The Miller 210 is what I use. (I wonder what Grainger's response would be if I bought a second Miller 210 within 14 months of the first. It's kind of a giveaway that it's not for me.)
