2" BL, PML (Calmini Shackles, Sway-A-Way Torsion Bars), 33x12.5x15 BFG AT/KO's on Cragar 342's (6 on 5.5 with 4" Backspacing).

So here are some of the pictures, sorry it took me all day to get them up, I have been busy. It drives amazing, no problems at all, other than rubbing on the mud flaps behind the front tires. I am thinking of just removing that piece, since I can't grind it off much more. Does anyone know exactly how to get this piece off? I found 2 screws, but it seems to be held onto the entire inside of the wheel well.

The rubbing in front of the tires I took care of by taking out the plastic plate that covers the bottom side of the fog lights (fog light access panel). After I took that off, no rubbing at all.

The rear stuffs nicely into the wheel wells. Next mod will be some bilstein shocks, probably before the end of December. I didnt take any pictures today, but I will take some tomorrow and get them uploaded tomorrow evening.

Max, what mods do you have to do?

Also, would everyone like to start at 9am or 10am? Or shall we start earlier?

Hey Eric, How much snow do you have at your place? Hopefully it will melt in a day or two (like normal) so I can clean the underside of my X and start blasting it with the anti rust junk.

Edited to change the amount of snow: we are now up to about 10"!

Eric P

about 4 inches of snow. None melted today & it looks like it will be cold all weekend.

Well heres the deal, I was planning on getting a car wash down near your house on saturday morning before everything starts, to clean the underside of the X (speaking of which, do you know of a trucker style car wash, the type where you pull into a slot and get a power washer hose and do it yourself, place near you or in HR?).

I won't be able to do a makeup mod day until well into January due to other commitments that have been planned for a long time.

I have a heater for my room (1300W I believe) that works wonderfully. I am also willing to buy another one from home depot that is a 1500W one (Stanley Heater for $50), and looks more for garage use. So if we can pull my X into your garage and do the work there, then would you still be willing to do it tomorrow?

Do you have your own garage, or is it more of a carport (sharing a garage with other cars)? And do you have room to move around the X easily with it pulled in? (trying to see if it is pheasable to do the mod day inside your garage)

All that I really wanted to get done tomorrow is the Body Lift, but if it would also be nice to get the PML done and out of the way also (either after more beer, or a break with pizza or some other lunch).

I will worry about doing the bumpers and the transfer case extension later (but once again, if everyone is up for it, then we could even do this tomorrow, but I am more than willing to do it on my own), probably during next week since I need to get my X serviced.

I was told by the auto parts guy about the penetrating oil that I bought that he has been using it on an old 70s truck that he has been parting out. He said that it has tons and tons of rust and after a few sprays of the oil and waiting a few minutes, everything breaks free with little effort. He assured me that I shouldn't have any problems with this stuff and what I am doing.

Eric, if there is anything else that you want to talk about either email me directly at...pm for details, edited to remove for security reasons

I have an attached oversized garage. It is about 50 degrees in the morning, so bring the heater. I see no need to buy a new one.

The garage door has a height of 7 ft 6 inches.

There is a spray n wash attached to the BP/Conoco station accross from the Crispy Cream on the northeast corner of C-470 & Quebec.

So far all I have coming over is Matt K. & you. Anyone else? I need to know so I can have passes ready for you at the main gate.

Jeff Connor told me he might come, but hes not for sure yet. I'm waiting for him to respond and then I'll post it up here when I know. Also, my girlfriend is debating coming as well, but she isn't for sure yet (shes thinking she might get bored).

Other than that, I guess I'll see you on Saturday. Repost up here if anything new arrises or if I'll need to buy any more tools.

I just got the word from Jeff C. He said he will be there, probably at starting time.

Unless anyone has a problem with it, I'll try to plan on being there around 9-9:30am and we can start around then.

My X will be dripping wet from its bath, and I'll have my parts in the truck, ready to be installed.

Set some cardboard down before you start spraying penetrating oil on the body bolts, that stuff will perma-stain concrete. Now, if Eric poured a different surface for his garage floor then we're golden :D

Haha, alright, thanks for the tip Tyler.

We were able to get the BL, PML & bumper relocations done before 5 pm. All went smooth except one torsion bar that had had a few burs on the teeth.

So Garrett, where are the pictures??

Thanks Eric. I'm planning on ordering those sometime this week maybe.

Also, does anyone know how to remove the front "mud flap" plastic piece that is at the bottom of the front doors in the wheel well? I found 2 screws but after I took those out, it still wouldn't budge. I want to take them off so that I can trim them easier, and so that for the mean time they dont rub anymore...its really starting to get annoying.

I was finally able to get those side pieces off, however, I broke one of the mounts, there was a ton of mud at the exit of the plastic pin that goes into metal, and it just broke off. Oh well.
