Water and fuel failure are indicative of the ICVR (Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator).
Very common failure on those gauge clusters. Nissan part, but you might check with NAPA to see if they have one.
Specifically it's called exactly that, the Instrument Cluster Voltage Regulator. Any "decent" Nissan parts tech will know what you're talking about.
If you want to pm me your VIN, I'll look it up for you and give you the exact part # Jeff.

Hey Jeff, the Instrument cluster voltage regulator's part number for your VIN is 24866-54A00, and shouldn't cost any more than $50 tops. I've even heard of it costing around $22 or so. If you give any dealership that number, they'll be able to help you out.

That's the one, the regulator. You'll have it fixed in no time. You'll have to pull the cluster out, replace that regulator and put it back in. You'll be all set.

15 minute fix, the dealership would've charged an hour. Let's see, you would've paid around $125, plus parts and shop fee.
$58 to fix it yourself... priceless!
