I've been thinking about the $4 gal gas:eek: . I can't afford to keep my truck. I am going to put it up for sale. I am looking at getting either a hybrid or a one of those smart cars. I'm going to get out of wheeling before it gets to expensive.:(
April fools!
I know a guy who might be interested. How much are you looking to get for it?
He can only pay in rubles though.

He will probably ask around 4108 for it!!!!!!
:roflmao:

I think you should get one of those geo metros. They're the shit!

Yeah. And then bring it over here to work on -- I've been wanting to lift a Geo Metro and fit 33s under it. (I'm thinking a bit of trimming may be needed.)

Why bother trimming? Just get rid of the panels and tube frame it up.

The weight of the tube would impede the desired fuel mileage.

Just use PVC. That would be about as strong as that car is stock anyway.

I agree. I was just looking at my gas to income ratio, and the truck has to go.

I actually sold mine yesterday, well, traded. A guy here in town had a nice '89 Wrangler with nothing done to it, and only like 3 or 4 rust spots, and the tires are bald but they're still some sweet ass Yokohizzamas boyyyy! All I had to do was sign the truck over to him and pay $1,000 and that sweet Jeep was mine. I mean, even in it's condition, that Jeep can do more than a Nissan could ever imagine!
Plus it has a CO4x4 sticker across the wind shield already. I can hardly see anything when I drive, but at least it lets everyone know what forum I whore.

Hmm. I will never sell my pathy no matter the gas prices. If I need to get a DD some day that's equivalent to a metro, so be it.
That sucks Jarrod.

Sweet deal!!!!
I have been searching e-bay. Yesterday I found:
a 94' Honda Civic with 247K on it. It has a steering wheel cover and a nice set of pedals that read "type R". This rig is teaming with "type R" gear. He had some pics of the "type R" air freshener, The "type R" gas cap, the "type R" spark plug wire loom separator, the "type R" chrome dual windshield wipers
the "type R" seat cover, the "type R" seatbelt covers, "type R" LED shift knob, "type R" floormats, and (I saved the best for last) "type R" sticker on the hood.
The wheels are complimented with spinner hub caps. There are curb feelers on it too. He rattle canned his hood black and it has hood pins to keep the valuables from being stolen. There is a sticker on every body panel that reads "Honda civic" which is good because I might forget with all of the "type R" stuff on it.
I want to get a NOS sticker for it too.

I'm calling BS on this one. Your truck don't cost you a dime in gas right now. It has been in the same spot for how many months now?

have your guys thought about getting a cheap 2nd car? i went out and bought a '98 Toyota Camry w/ a 4cly. it was about $6,000. then I only drive my X on the weekends or when I go to off road or meet & greets. saves so much gas money too

just sell the axle and some parts, and get a cheap gas miser. that's what i did when the pathy went under the knife. got an 86 crx for $800, drove it for a year and half. had to fix it a few times, but you get the idea.
of course, given my record with cars, ignore whatever i say.

I've been working out a trade, myself; The Marshmallow for a sweet Honda Element. I need to come up with the $7,800 difference, but I think I can swing it. I'll borrow some from my Mom.

Sorry, after reading everything about the axle and the plans, I knew it was BS from the beginning.
Good one too!

just get a 2nd car as stated, my Pathy is a shitbox but I love it I won't give her up I can find you a civic shell drop a D-series in it and you get 400miles a tank how does that sound? 88-91 civics or 92-95 are all good and get about the same milleage. and it costs about $28-35 to fill em up. I am selling a civic four door very soon. (4dr DX AC auto CD tape and radio) if anyone is interested let me know I will give you more details. PM
