Jeff, how are you getting the pictures onto your computer and then how are you getting them on here?
Also, I wouldn't advertise that you downloaded something like PS...they're kinda sorta, um, anal about people "borrowing" their software :D

to get full size pics you will most likely need to use a photo hosting site such as imageshack or photobucket. After you upload your pics to the site there should be an option for using the [IMG] command. What this will do is it will load your pics from the site and it will show them on here

I found some of his post and most of the pics are like 250x170 pixels or so.

Try using 640x480 for online use or higher to see some details.

800x600

And just for reference one is hosted on imageshack... the other is hosted on photobucket... have a look at the code below.

I had to put periods (.) in the beggining to make it show up but you get the idea.

Yeah pixels are important.

It's like the size of things for computer images, vs. inches in real life. More pixels = bigger size.

I could get into PPI or Pixels Per Inch (resolution), but that would just confuse you :p

Most of what you see on google has to do with dpi, or dots per inch. DPI is also associated with what you see in Newspapers. Take a strong magnifying glass and look at an image on a newspaper, it's nothing but dots. A good dpi/ppi to look at is 300, as that is photograph quality. Another reason getting images from google sucks, they are only 72dpi. So the quality drops.

The max size you can get an image uploaded from photobucket is 800x600, it will downsize it after that. Also, the image size, such as 1.2mb, is limited at photobucket, at least it used to be.

It's really weird that your images are coming up small straight from the camera. It has to be your program, or maybe your settings on your camera. Make sure the resolution on the camera isn't like 120x120.

Actually DPI is meaningless when it comes to digital imaging and only comes into play when you actually print something.

300 ppi is going to be way too huge to use on the web. Web standard is either 72 or 96. 150 is plenty for printing.
