I have dealt with this in a couple stereos...my wife's 6 disk in her Mazda and we took it apart to get it out...of course when we put it back together, I missed a spring, and when I took it back apart I broke said spring :D
I've had a stuck mini CD in one of the work vans (yes an AUDIO visual tech stuck a mini CD into a regular CD drive...that one required some very thin, but solid, tweezers, hit the eject button and while it was trying to get it out, I helped in gently along.
Personally, it's an excuse to get a new, kickass CD player :D

You can try a few things -
Some head units have a little pin hole that you can stick a paper clip in. This is a manual eject or emergency eject.
You can also try pulling the fuse to the stereo or more drastic disconnecting the battery and re-connecting after 30 or 45 seconds. Some units will automatically eject the CD.
Pull the deck and take it apart to extract the CD. (I've done this once with NO success.)
Tweezers - probably not highly recommended either.
Take it to the dealer. They will most definitely charge you, but will probably be able to get it out for you without destroying the deck.
Buy a new HU.

If you the problem is out of an xterra with a rockford fosgate system I can probably just give you my old one, its sitting in my garage at home and is in pretty much perfect condition
