Before you spend your money...use a high lift jack to check your travel, I think you will find that extending the drive shaft is a bad idea. the noise you are hearing is most likely something else.

okay i tried taking pictures but my camera just took a dump on me so the slip yoke cover on the drive shaft is about an inch out of the trans case and when i jack to get it up a bit you can watch it angle out and when you lower it it gose in angled so ya im gonna bring it in tomorrow and have them extend it out 2 1/2 inches for 40 bucks so why not il try and find a new camera that i can use and get some pics posted up alright

??? Not sure I understand...slip yoke cover? angle out? gose angled?

The reason I recommended you check first was that in some cases when the axle drops the slip yolk will actually travel "in" toward the transfer case. And when the axle travels up the slip yolk will travel "out" away from the transmission. (backward from what most people would guess)

It all depends on where the front of the springs mount in relation to the drive shaft pivot points and how much "arch" is in the springs.

Not knowing your setup (one/two peace drive shaft, front spring hanger position, ect) it would be impossible to guess what you need.

I can tell you that you do not want the slip yolk to "bottom" out, or it will bust things that are not cheap to fix.
