I stopped by the junkyard again today to see if that Pathfinder had crawler gears. :D

The engine was gone, but the transmission was still attached. Here's what I did:

Put transmission in 5th gear (roughly 1:1 if I remember correctly).
Put t-case in 4-lo.
For every one rotation of the input shaft on the transmission, the driveshaft turned roughly half a turn.

This means I'm out of luck. :(

Just wanted to make sure.

I know nothing about checking for gearing. I just want to break 300 :D

Actually 5th gear is considered an overdrive and 4th is usually 1:1. But it still does not sound like it has the crawler gears.

Damnit, that makes everything more confusing now. Not sure why I had the idea 5th was 1:1. Looks like 5th it .751 which makes my results seem odd.

1.33 turns of the input shaft of the transfer case give me 1/2 a turn?
