Anyone converted to HIDs. I am thinking about converting the so-so AUX lights on my rack to HID. Just want to know if anyone has had bad luck or good luck doing this.

What have you got up there now?

Is the only difference in HID the power requirements and mounting? I would think if the wiring can handle the power and you can mount them, it would work.

Team Xterra Racing has 6 HID KC lights up on the roof that they just added not too long ago. Might pop over there and see what advice Dave's got.

i am leaning towards a conversion kit. about a quarter of the price. same housing but new bulbs.
