Run Leaving from COS

ok folks, i'd like to get a run set up here really soon. sometime before the end of the season. im thinking the second week in september (its a ways off but august is shot for me). the only thing that i know of close is eleven mile park (http://parks.state.co.us/Parks/ElevenMile). there are lots of trails around, nothing looked to technical (mostly fire roads) when i was there last weekend. i am open to suggestions, i just want to get something going.

I am up for a good run near the springs and the second week of Sept will work for me if you are talking the 6th but the weekend of the 13th and 14th I have army reserves..

hey, anyone know rampart range road? we could schedule the run for something off of that...

You can access Rampart from Garden of the God's park. You have to follow it all around the perimeter road of the park and you will see the dirt road turn off on the right. During the climb, be sure to keep an eye on your temp. and make sure you are prepared for extreme washboard vibration.
