Water pump life?

Whats the usuall life of a 3.3 water pump? I have a bearing noise comming from the front passenger side of the engine just below the power steering resevoir. I guess my other question is is that the water pump and does that noise indicate that it is worn?

Yes, noise would indicate that it is bad and may eventually sieze up and/or leak but there are a lot of bearings on the front of the engine that could be making that noise. You have two tensioners for your accesory belts, it could be either of those or it could be your timing belt tensioner. I would take off one belt at a time to see which on is making noise. If it's still making noise after that than it could be your timing belt tensioner.

the intervals for the timming belt and water pump are 90,000mi and should be in the owners manual if the pump has or is seizing or a pulley and it is under the manufacture warranty the individual part or parts will be covered.you need to schedule an appointment at your nissan dealer for the repair.
