If you don't mind doing a little re-building, get a junkyard motor.

i would not mind doing some rebuilding. (replacing parts) but not a complete overhaul. i am a very beginer mechanic and have no expeirence with engine ebuilding or replacing. i can change the oil and brakes. bout it.

check the classifieds, I posted a link to a craigslist for sale ad, engine trans and tcase for $200. it's from an 88 but you could swap all the 92 parts to it and be just the same. I would buy the tcase and maybe the trans from you too.

all you have to change is the intake. would be alot easier than a rebuild, and cheaper.

The 93-97 vg30e's use the round tooth timing belt... They are good for 100K! Not the 60K style, if I remember right, you just busted.

94+ are round tooth. I have a spare 94 motor. My 93 is square. The round teeth are rated at 105k.
