I pay the bills at my house, and I still haven't gotten rent from one of my roommates. So now I am overdrawn, no money for the rest of the fricken month, two and half weeks away! How does someone not pay rent till the 12th of the month? fuck, I wanted to go to a concert tonight and drink some beer. dammit!

Feel for ya there, my roomy freshman year of college (the first go around) was worthless at paying his half of stuff...and his mother paid for it all!

I had a lazy roomate that sat on the couch and ate chicken wings every night he was home, and a half gallon of ice cream. When rent came do ,he was never home his rent was always late. they say never have a freind as a roommate but I didnt even know this guy and he was worthless. good luck Packman hope your situation works itself out. the word eviction comes to mind?!

What ever charges the bank collects, make him pay. If this keeps up, there are legal options.

I've had the same problem with one of my roomies not paying his share of rent.

He got a huge check from his dad for his bday. So he went out that night, bought an xbox 360 and a nintendo wii. Then 2 weeks later, he couldnt give me his share of the rent. I was like, WTF?!

Lucky for me though, I just made the check out to the landlord less what he owed and included a note saying, talk to him about the rest of the money. It worked out pretty well! Not really many problems since then.

different roommate wasn't paying, the one with the rustang is pretty good about paying bills.

in my lease, and most i have seen, there is joint and several clause, which meants that everyone on the lease is liable for the rent, all together and individually, so if one doesn't pay, we are all equally liable. makes it hard to just not pay his portion.

sorry man , didnt know you had more than one. You are correct about that clause though, I have run into that issue with past roomates.:)
