post up where you are staying. Tyler has a thread for the condos, but if you are camping or doing something else post up here.
Last year the campground where I stayed had some little hut like cabins, like one room with electricity, for not much more than a regular camping space. I don't remember the name of the place, but I know I talked to ryan and he seemed interested in maybe getting a couple of those huts all in a row or something. they have wifi, a pool and hot tub, and showers.

Its the Slickrock Campground. I'll be there this year if I'm able to go. I'll probably tent it. The huts are right in the middle with no tree's or AC. I don't mind walking up to the main bulding for electricity. However, I will bring an extension cord so I don't have to sit in the laundry room.

Huts for me...
I don't mind camping either. However if it rains for some reason.... beer in my hut!!!

I am undecided. I have never been to Moab. I was originally going to go with canyon lands and a tent. Is that a bad choice?

The huts are nice and there are also camp sites available in the same area.

We are probably just going to hotel it - I'm too old to stay up partying all night with y'all in the condo :) I need my beauty sleep.

Barry if you want to go out and camp with the coyote's feel free to stop by and use our shower... I took two showers a day last year. The line of rigs kicks up a bunch of dust all day long... so that rinse was awesome!!! Plus, the good morning with a cup of coffee "wake up call". Show up around 5 am, cause you will not like packman's singing!!!:roflmao:

OK I will make a reservation at slick rock. The canyon lands states "In the Heart of Moab". I thought that was a nice looking place from the pix.
I thought I read slick rock was on the outskirts of town.

Barry, did you mean Canyon Lands Campground, or Canyon Lands Nat. Park?
The park is out in the boonies, but Canyon Lands Campground is in the heart of Moab...and Slick Rock isn't too far off.

They are both on the outskirts of town, one on the North side the other on the South side.
But Moab is only about 2 miles long and just under a mile wide.
edit: Well Canyon Lands is only 1/2 mile inside what I would call the South Side of Moab.

An overview kind of at least.

I'll be at Slickrock. Stayed there the last two years and have been treated great. Plenty of trees, clean facilities, and the distance is really not bad. I usually stay the whole week there for about $90 total. Thats for a decent sized tent site.

Most of the folks last year stayed at Portal Campground... It is across the fence from slickrock. The cabins are 35 bucks at slickrock, don't know if they offer a discount. There are also alot of last minute folks that show up... there are normally extra sites for them at SlickRock for the taking. We stayed there last year, they treated us well, so I am going back.
