So much for not being able to mount an integrated solenoid winch in an ARB.
First step was to add a quick connector for future bumper removal.

Drew this up in Solidworks and had it built.

I'd also like to recommend Spidertrax to anyone. This is my first time I've dealt with them and forgot they were local. I ordered the fairlead during an off period at 11:00 Monday morning and had it by shipped out half an hour later. Arrived today and looks GREAT!

Nice job! Most folks forget that the bumper will need to come off in the future and just wire 10' of cable directly to the battery.

Where did you get your quick disco setup? I will be doing something very similar when I get my Shrock :D

Here are some at Grainger. (http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/wwg/productIndex.shtml?originalValue=battery+cable+con nectors&L2=Cable+Connectors&operator=prodIndexRefinementSearch&L1=Battery) If you don't have an account at Grainger I can get them for you (Candy works there).

I got the ones from Warn. They were expensive, but I didn't look around too much before getting them. Seem to be high quality though...just like anything else made by Warn. I also liked the idea since I've seen a few guys who modified jumper cables to plug into the quick connect or even a ready welder. Beats clamping the battery and trying to keep them from crossing. :D
They had them at my local shop. $35 for the pair. PN 22680 from Warn.
The only thing I'd be cautious about with the connectors listed from Grainger is the most heavy duty ones on there are rated for 350 amps. On my winch it draws up to 475 (or something crazy like that). I think Ryan uses the ones from Grainer on a 12k without a problem.

And didn't realize how fragile this synthetic line is. No idea what it got caught up on, but I already frayed it in one area bad enough that it's holding on by 1 or 2 strands. I need to cut it and try the end to end splice but I get lost 1/2 way through the instructions. Anyone performed this?
