Did you check both fuse boxes?

Silly thing, but most people forget that there's usually a fuse in whatever you're plugging into the outlet, so have you tried multiple items?
Also - the connector on the back of the outlet could be loose. Unlikely unless the tab broke or it was unplugged and not plugged back in. But that's another easy fix if it is.

on my civic when the power outlet quit, everything looked good but i wasn't getting power to the outlet. the wires tested ok (+ and - when the ignition was on) but still nothing. i cut the factory connector off that connected to the back of the outlet and connected the wires directly to the terminals on the outlet and it works great now. must have been some corrosion on the OEM plug or something.

the only fuse box i did not check was in the engine area ( i will check there). I did disconnect it but i hoooked it back up might have to recheck it
