As you all know, my Xterra has sustained some pretty significant abuse on the trails. It was time to get it fixed and I sure as hell wasn't gonna spend the money on IFS stuff.

I put the X into the shop of a local manufacturing company called Harsh Terrain.

My X has been evolving in the shop and I will have some pictures in a few days. Both Rondo and Max have seen some of the work.

So far the build is turning out beefy as hell. I can't wait to post some pics and get her back on the trails!!!

I know what it's like waiting for the truck to be finished. It was the longest three months of my life when i put mine it. I hope it turns out well for ya and of coarse pic's would be great.

Wow that is beefy. Are you running coil overs?

Wow that is beefy. Are you running coil overs?

Yes. 10" King Coils.

To put the size of that stuff into perspective, those heims on the rear of the radius arms are about as big as a fist.

The project was delayed because I had to order shorter coilovers. I originally wantes 12's but the ride height woulda been too high. The 10's have arrived, so it should get done quickly.

I can't wait!!

Me neither!

Since this is a "prototype" I will be taking it easy for 500 miles and then going back for re-tightening/readjustment.

After all my trimming and such, she'll be ready for action!

Sick!!!! What was the final price???

Probably not a money-saver over Calmini. We will have to see what price Harsh Terrain comes up with if/when they come up with a kit. All I know is that getting customer service on my SAS will be a breeze (they're a mile from my house). Since most parts are off-the-shelf, I can easily replace anything that I break! :D
