Any idea how much snow (if any) is still up at these places? I would be great if it wasn't a total winch fest, especially since my friend with the Tacoma is going to be running stock tires that wouldn't do well at all in deep snow.

I'm not sure tyler i havent been up there yet. I'm pretty sure we will be ok though sevenmile has alot of snowmobile and 4 wheeler traffic so it's probably better then most. We could go to bunce school house road which i have always run in the winter. It's close to camp dick and would give us the option of running middle st vrain and coney flats. I feel as if the further north we go the better it will be. The last few storms hit denver harder then ft collins. I really don't care where we go but it is important that everyone has fun for sure.

Bunce school house is pretty awesome though and if you havent been you should go. tons of camping and trails for every skill level. Seven mile does have alot of long uphill spots which will be icy.

Here are the pictures from today... the equipment of the day today was definately a winch. We ended up only making it only about 1/4 mile up the trail because the snow was pretty soft and deep.

I don't know how much Jeremy the jeep owner enjoyed it. He kept getting stuck and it really started to get him down. My girlfriend got in his vehicle and drove it out of almost every obsticle. He is from texas so.... it was probably his second time having it in 4wd. It's not easy being a rookie but to enjoy wheelin you gotta enjoy getting stuck.....i'll post some pics sometime today

I turned a stuttering coke-head red neck from Texas into a bonified Colorado rock crawling, snow bashin', beer guzzlin' wheeler...it juts took me the better part of 3 years :D

If I reflect back to my rookie days which where not too far back. I remember my first times getting stuck, breaking stuff, and body damage. I think they all kinda pissed me off at first because it is kinda frustrating and can be a downer. Especially when everyone else runs the trail without the same problems. But i think you just tend to get used to it after a few times and I actually enjoy it now. Finding yourself in thease circumstances more or less means your wheeling hard enough. I just hope that Jeremy can escalate to this level.......

i've always broken stuff, and as long as it wasn't something dumb (like when I didn't tighten my cvs enough and one fell off) i laughed about it. i actually like beating the hell out of my truck. when it runs.

Jeremy watched Alex drive through this deep spot however it didn't work out so well for him. Jeremy was sliding down hill so alex and i used snatch blocks and both winches to pull the jeep sideways. It was fun for sure i think Alex posted a better pic on page 2.

It doesn't look that bad but the side of his fender was almost touching the tree. And the thought of body damage upset him so this is what we did and it worked..

Alex you gotta post the pics of that dumb ass in the car. I wanted to tell him off sooo bad in reguards to the litter, cig butts, and how he never got out to help with his own recovery. However the kids in his car sucking in the cig fumes kinda got my sympathetic side.

lol i forgot how noisy that was. We ended up realizing the car was too heavy for our winches to pull it sideways. So alex pulled from the front and i used my snatch block on a tree and also pulled it forward. lol i don't think i have ever used my winch that much in a day or even a week it was comical to say the least.

Looks like I missed out...sorry I couldn't join you guys. :( The Tacoma project ended up taking a whole lot longer than I had thought it would and still isn't finished. Hopefully we can figure something out in the next few weeks.
