So I just bought an 89 Hardbody the ft u joint was worn pretty bad. I just put a new ft u joint on it got rid of the clunk. Now I have a constant driveline vibration especially on the highway, I'm guessing my driveshaft was worn/out of balance. Does anyone know of a good place to take it to to get it machined(if it's not too worn). Or does anyone have spare for a 89 d21 v6 4x4 5 speed. Thanks all!

Search co4x4 I recently read a thread in the general4x4 section were people reccomended a local driveshaft shop. I will not stray from tom woods but the one they mentioned in Denver sounded cheap and easy.

what part of the driveshaft wears, and how does a machine shop fix it? never heard of that before.

It probably just needs to be balanced!

Yeah I'm thinking it's out of balance as well. I searched on there but I couldn't find anything except this shop http://www.rmdriveline.com/ anyone used them?

Do you remember about how much? What did they do to it? I don't think i can balance it myself? Not sure though?

303-783-9954 frontrange driveline is who most of the co4x4 guys used. I think the post was on the second or third page in general4x4 "I need a driveshaft".

They had to rebuild the Cardan Joint... about 175. But the had to basically replace the upper part and then rebalance it.
