So I just bought the SuperChips Cortex programmer specifically for newer nissans:

I plan on using it for my 06 xterra. Anybody have any experience with this perticular programmer or anything even remotely like it?
Part of the deal included free overnight shipping so i guess I'll be able to answer all the questions i have in a couple days. Just wondering...
Its supposed to add up to 18 ponies and 23 or some odd number on torque. Idk, we'll see...
Do the 2° (I think) timing advance?
Look around you'll see some info on that I'm sure.
the007forum on here has one I think...or something similar.

You will find alot of information about that on clubfrontier or Xterra. Basically its tunes kickass because it gets rid of nissans throttle control. We dont get full throttle until a certain speed (cortex disables that). They are continuously adding new abilities to it and adjustment for larger tires should be here soon. You now have the option to manually advance timing with it, but i dont mess with that because the preset tunes already do.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to go in together on one of these split the cost and just pass it between each other I would love to see a few extra ponies in my X feels like ever since I added the shrocks pieces and the heavier tires I have lost some of my umph I used to have.
Hook up with the poster above you some time, I'm sure he wouldn't mind letting you use his. That is if he actually gets out on a trail run lol.
They only work on 2nd gens though.

Yeah, they are currently only available to second gens. The programmers are Vin locked so i have to set it back to stock on my truck before i can try it on another vehicle. So its not shareable permanantly but if anyone wants to test drive the difference he or she can meet up with me and do that.

Yeah, its the axles. I fixed my brakes an got it back to this side of the mountains but im still waiting on some extended axles because i titan swapped the front.
Ahhh so that's why you don't have 4WD.
You should bring it by sometime, would like to check it out.
I'm getting my new tires on mine today. We'll see if they rub. 33x12.50x15 Goodyear MTR's that I got off CL.
