I've decided to pick up a new hobby.

went and bought all my stuff over the last few weeks.....yes thats why i needed an oven.....no i didn't get a big one.

so anyways.....i'll be powder coating stuff up here in the mountains.

this weekend i may do my new shackles and perhaps some other goodies.

I'll post some pictures as things get completed.

If anyone decides they likey and want me to do some for them....i'll probably keep it pretty cheap for a while as i progress.

Think you could do 15" beadlock rings in a metalic red or red with a metalic flake? :) Thought I'd give you a hard one right off the bat......

How about my EXO? Will that fit in your toaster? Will you still be using it for bread?

It will totally fit.

You will, however, have to cut it into about 500 toaster-sized pieces, and then weld it back together after that.

That will be totally worth it!

the bead locks.....possibly.

i'm gonna try my luck curing some stuff with a heat gun this weekend.

if it works we'll figure out the color( i can do red or metallic red or even sparkly red) and i'll order some powder.

hopefully i'll have some pix for this thread by sunday!

The 15" bead lock rings should fit in the oven...the heat gun would be too inconsistent I would think, but I could be wrong.
I anxiously await pictures, though.

no legit oven yet. just a toaster oven for shackles.....small stuff.

i have access to an oven.... just no 240V line.

so if anyone wants to voulenteer their garage i could make this a traveling show!

but seriously. if you're gonna do a PML i can color the shackles first if ya want. or whatever. i have some little suprises planned.....

Gotcha. If you want to bring it down to my place you're more than welcome...and that would be a good location for Clayton as well.

I walk the hill intoxicated on a weekly basis, I got that shit down. Too bad it was finals week cause any other weekend would have been a little more haggard.

BUMP.

full bore operation in the garage now.

standard size oven. I figure i can probably fit up to a 16" rim.

and can do whatever else.

cook up some ideas and I'll do it cheap!

Lift Shackles
Brake Drums/Calipers and Brackets
Intake
Valve Covers
D-Ring Shackles

Anything metal that can withstand temps up to 400

I should / feel the need to share some info about coating brakes... as far as brakes - most importantly disc and drum, but not calipers, even though they are regularly subject to high heat situations, they should never be subject to the temps and processes for powdercoating. Same applies to anyone who might think of zinc oxide coating of brakes. There is a process of metallialurgical.. however the heck you spell that.. conversion that takes place during these processes that causes the "high impact - high heat / temp change coefficient" to change causing the brake surfaces to become very brittle, and sensitive to rapid temp changes.

S2X01

noted!

so calipers/brackets are okay. but no drums.

Got it.

Thanks!!!!!

Gonna experiment with the manifolds on the buick first.....

But I'm pretty sure ceramic coating of exhaust components are just around the corner!!
