Moab like the last weekend of October?

So I requested Friday the 27th off and we were just chatting here and my wife was saying, "we could go over fall break." I could take another day off- anybody have any interest in going? We've never been so a "guide" might be nice.

I will coincidentally be passing through the area on the way back from AZ on the 27th, 28th and 29th, but I wasn't planning on taking the X (I got a DD that gets 40+ mpg on highways), but that might change with the snow coming on Sat., when I was planning on leaving.

If I take the X, I'll let ya know so we can meet up.

If not, don't worry about a guide. Buy the book and do some stuff close to town - like the Sand Flats area (Fins N Things is freaking amazing btw). The book is pretty good, although trail conditions change - like Kane Creek, which has greatly deteriorated since the publishing.

You can always just show up in the City Market parking lot in the morning, there is almost always a group getting ready to go.
