Here's the story....

My wife and I decided to get a divorce (and no we're not getting back together). To be more acurate she decided to stop talking to me for six months and then I decided we were getting a divorce. This was back around holloween. Sorry for not telling those of you that I know sooner, but the public part of the divorce has been hard for me to do in big pieces. I'm trying to take little bites.

The whole process has left my finances in ruin. (we are eating it on our house, which we now must sell) I had a budget worked out that allowed me to keep my truck and still pay the bills. Then last week I found out that she had a 'secret' credit card that I didn't know about. :mad: So I find myself looking at another 10k in debt that I never knew I had.

Basically I, with alot of help from my ex-wife, have way too much debt. I've decided my first priority has to be crawling my way out of the money hole. I still owe nearly 10k on my truck. Kbb puts it's value at about 13k. Selling the truck would instantly drop my debt signifigantly, so I think I don't have much choice.

I would prefer to buy another nissan. But what can I get for 3k? I'd like 4 doors and a backseat, V6, manual and 4x4. Reliability would be good too. I was thinking along the lines of an old pathfinder. Which ones are good? What are the differences in the trim levels?

The good side is I'll have a truck the I literally don't care much about and can beat the hell out of it against some trees. :crazy:

:wave: Wow man that sucks, on a better note you should be able to find a cheap pathy on craigs list. The older ones like mine have TBI injection. 1988 and only came in two door I think 89 had four doors in the XE the 1990's had multi point fuel injection on the V6s, while pre 90s had throttle body injection. the later 90s (94 plus I believe) had 90k timming belts and older have 60k belts there are 4 cylinder models out there to so make sure its a six your looking at if thats what you want. The fuel mileage is not the best on the six and they are a little under powered, but the VG30 or vg33 (96+) are both solid engines I belive the 90s pathys came with a leather option and keyless remote entry even in the early 90s there are also several cloth colors I personaly would avoid the red interior.
