When is the timing belt supposed to be replaced on the 3.3L Xterra anybody know? Mine right now just hit 119,xxx. And also has anybody installed a cam in theres before like the one offered by AC. If I have the money I probably would want to throw that in there too while changing out the timing belt.

Ya you might want to get on it and change that belt. 119K is pushing it for the factory belt.

not sure if the dealership did it when they had it because I got it when it had 96,000 on it. I don't think they would have I guess I could call them up and see if they did anything to it. Thanks for the replys.

When I get the extra money I will do it next other SAS parts will have to be put on hold for awhile then.

yeah- mechanical stuff like that is way more important. when i did mine the belt had at least 3 inches of deflection both ways. the fact that my timing was still on and i didn't seize the engine is nothing short of a miracle.
