So I just caught a posting on Pirate/CO4x4 where a guy in Colorado had a 9.0RC winch (the bling little rock crawling winch) that he is getting rid of...brand new. He wants a 9.5ti for a trade.
I'm trying to decide if I'd be better off keeping my 9.5ti that I JUST got or trading it away. The main reason I like the 9.0RC is I'd save a little weight on the front end. I think it weighs fifty something pounds...
Bad news is it only comes with 50 feet of rope. It's a small drum, and that's all you can fit on it. It's only a 9000lb instead of my 9500lb. It's no load line speed is also slower by about 20 feet a minute. Load line speeds are comparable. My controller has the flashlight. I don't think that one does. :D
I'm thinking of trying to find a way to keep my rope and cut mine up and make a few extensions with it. I don't think the 50 ft. drum would be too bad if I had several 50ft. extensions. Also need to try and keep my leads from the winch since I have those quick connectors.
This might be more of a hassle than it's worth. What do you guys think?
