now a couple questions:

is the calmini CL better than the HOOHAA(grassroots4x4) CL? if the hoohaa CL is better will it work with the rest of the calmini steering system?

whats better, Automotive Customizers UCA's or Rough Country UCA's?

i ask because im gonna part out my 95 and sell all my lift stuff. i have some RC UCA's and a hoohaa CL now. i want to have all the best possible parts on this truck.

The calmini CL will only work with the rest of the system. It is a strong system. The only weak point is that the IA bushings can wear out too quickly. I have been running Calmini steering for a few years now. I am very satisfied with it.

I do plan to remachine the IA to accept spherical bearings to permanently address the bushing wear problem. The bushings only last about a year. New ones have to be fitted with a hone. A local machine shop does mine.

I hear good things about the Hoohaa CL, also. Best bang for the buck. However, given a choice with money being no object, I would go Calmini. My preference.

thanks a bunch RES!!! just the info i was lookin for.

the Hoohaa CL hasnt let me down and i have beat on it hard. the bearings are still as tight as the day i bought it. quality product for sure!!!

when you remachine the IA for the bearings can you send me some info on that. i would also like to do that because that just deletes one more breakage/wear point out of the equation.

well since my SAS will be done soon im gonna use this truck for local mild trails and my project for the hardcore trails. im already thinkin about lowering it down a bit and runnin some 33" radial mud tires and shed the bias plys.

just about the only bad(maybe) thing i have found about the truck is it has stock tbars. no problems from the PO but should i invest in some SAW tbars? going to put my snow plow and winch wih synthetic rope on the front of it and im thinkin that weight will create some sag.

any chance on breaking stock tbars? i have some SAW tbars on my old truck but i have already commited to a sale for them so i will have to buy new.
