I don't know how much of a differance there is between those brands. I'm running KC's and I love them. I am running the distance beam your talking about and they rock..

do you run the 100w or the 150w? i mean...i know more power means it'll shine further...but i'm not lookin to be seen from a plane flyin above....and a beam shining a mile isn't really what i'm lookin for, i just want to see a bit further

Pffft at some point I am gonna break em... I have 2 really cheap 130w on the bumper and 4 100w up top. I know one is eagle eye the others are they cheap ones from 4 wheel parts. And yes the KC rock gaurds do fit.

Lights is lights. Brand name vs off brand are basically the same. Except you are paying for advertising & sponsorship whne you go with the name-brand.

Mine are the 100 watt.. when I was asked wheather i wanted spot/flood/or fog i just said spot without thinking about it. The spot beams are kinda weird i like them now cause i'm used to them but I don't know why they would be nessasary. If you have flood beams they will illuminate the entire area infront of you right.. With fog beams the illuminate only the ground infront of you... However with spot they send one/two direct beam/beams out further then you can see.. I don't know how to explain it they are awesome for sure but i'm not sure what application they are intended for. I tend to use them alot for trail repairs. It makes it very easy for me to look around without being blinded cause the light is focussed only on my work.. I guess what i'm saying is you may do better with high powered flood lights..
