Yea and you have to break in those axles first Jeff. No hanky panky for 500 miles unless you want a noisy ring and pinion...

Hey Jeff, break them in driving to my shop so I can give you some $. Plus I want to check out the X.

Come on guys it doesn't even need to be carnage. We could try old flowers, sevenmile, or something different. Come out and have some fun Alex and I shouldn't be the only ones who wheel...

My truck is trying to commit suicide right now. Driver side shock mount ripped off the lower control arm the other day. Might be a little rough ride off road. Plus the front end is saging so much the tires are rubbing.

The days in Hawaii burned all my days off.
I have been trying to pick at the HB when I can. Got the steering completed today... When Chris's axle gets done his rig will be in the garage for a few days. Then it will be Tyler's rig..etc! The HB will get picked at during the dead times on those rigs....

Only one truck escaped carnage without some damage yesterday. I ran my bed into a rock, I also slid my truck into the jeeps hardtop (jeremy). And somehow ditchfinder bent his tie rods which isn't hard to do. The toyota pickup remained untouched however but came close many times. I really only captured three decent videos. I totally missed the toyota and the jeep in my filming efforts. It was not intentional though the toyota was a sweet truck and it was the jeeps second time wheelin.

nice videos, I wish I could have gone. Vail was alot of fun although the girl I went with broke her shoulder which wasnt too fun. Luckily that was the last run of the day
ChefTyler
02-25-2007, 02:35 PM
Holy crap! Broken shoulder is some serious business...hope she's ok.

02-25-2007, 03:42 PM
Usually when you break your shoulder it is the last run of the day.
I split my head open snowboarding about 12 years agoat about 9 in the morning (3rd run) when I went in to eat lunch I felt something warm on my neck and that was it for me. Haven't been snowboarding since.
Sorry for the post jack

James, Carnage hurt me worse then i thought.... Remember when i had to winch everyone up the 120 foot icy hill. So after winching the five or six trucks up the hill i felt the winch motor, and it wasn't hot at all. However i forgot about the alternator. I didn't think about it then, but my alternator was working overtime to keep my winch working. It must have been scalding hot because it toasted the bearings and threw metal shavings all over my engine. I've always wanted to put a quest alt in my truck and well now i've got the chance. I have used my winch sooo many times but never that many in that short of a time period. A second battery may also be in my future... Oh and my current stock Alternator was only three months old....

If you need to go to the junkyard I am in I will help you pull it I know of quite a few yards around I will also keep my eye out for a quest setup if I see one I will pick it up I also have connections in the automotive field so if you need parts or whatever let me know we all owe you big foe pulling us up at the end. Emma my girl works at the powersports dealer I can also get winch parts if needed. I am going SAS we are putting a parts list together now.

I know a guy in ogden utah who will sell me a quest Alt for 55 bucks shipped to my door. But you don't owe me shit for winchin ya i like to help out. Besides if you aint breaking stuff your not wheelin hard enough....
Ditchfinder
02-25-2007, 07:01 PM
true enough on the breaking sh!t part. by the way your wife/girlfriend can wheel. she got Jeremys jeep out of that hole. I would let her wheel my truck any day, she needs to teach Emma. We are going camping on memorial day weekend at 7 mile. You guys are welcome to join us. Dave the tall guy that was with me is building buggy and we bring for or five quads and a keg. fun times anyone's welcome. later

oh ya I bent a rim he he good thing for a spare.
CurleyMan
02-25-2007, 07:13 PM
LOL thanks she's been wheelin longer then me.. infact she taught me everything i know. I'll be @ gone moab so i may miss the seven mile thing but that is my fav place to camp. The bar is only like a half mile off the trail so it makes for a nice night out. Wheelin, campin, and taking shots at the bar rarely come together as well as they do at sevenmile.

hey that looks like my jeep lol.. yea that's pretty much exactly what happened to us. I did make it up but only after five attempts. It was soo easy to slide backwards into a tree that we turned around at the top and winched everyone up. Sweet vid Tyler nothing could explain it better.....
Ditchfinder
02-26-2007, 07:40 PM
Those two damn trees.... I think we all almost hit them my tir rods were bent at that point it didnt matter what I did. LOL.
