Hey everyone glad to a see a pathy group from colorado. I drive a 94 with 31 Big O ATs. Switched to a 87 Jeep cherokee because it is so much easier to fix and am back again after finding a major crack in the frame. I would like some feedback as to what you think would be a good mod to start off with. My understanding is Pathy's are good stock but lifts can put some strain on the frame. If this is mistaken please let me know.

how did you find a crack in the frame of the XJ? we all know it doesn't have one.

j/k, welcome. first thing to know is how you drive the rig, is it a daily driver, only for fun, etc? what kind of trails do you run?

pathfinder lifts stress the steering, not the frame.

I highly doubt you will hurt the frame of a pathy just by wheelin it. I do know one pathfinder with a cracked frame but that was due to a crash. A few of us are sas ing d21's and wd21's with just a little frame reinforcement. However you can find lift kits @ 4x4parts.com and purenissan.com.... And packman is 100% correct the lifts do stress the steering so buy the upgrades...
