I don't know much about it, but maybe with longer brake cables and a diff breather tube I think it would be ok? I have bronco coils in my rear end and those were the problems I came into contact with. Try it, if it doesn't work, figure something out. It sounds like you are going long arm anyways, so at least you would have the coils.

i thought you were talking 5.5 cherokee coils, then i re-read and you mean bronco coils. not sure if those will fit, they are pretty tall i think. you should be able to find the unloaded length online, then get your rear axle loose (panhard off, shocks, etc) drop it down and measure. you'll probably want to think about a panhard drop too.

This is what the bronco coils I got from Jamie did to mine. The tires are 31's:

Yeah. My bro used them. You just have to cut the little pig tail off the top coil.

i plan on rebuilding my rear coil buckets use ballistic joint adjestable coil buckets with bronco coil retainers on top. this will allow me to use Jeep and Ford Coils with pig tails on them. if you just need a quick way to test them... i have an idea but you'll need a round piece of metal about 4-5" across, a bronco coil retainer, and one 1/2" bolt about 4" long with a nut.
You could put the peice of metal on top of the bucket and tighten the coil retainer to it, through the hole in our stock buckets. best i could come up with.

thanks im still thinkin ,cut a slot in the top of my coil bucket to accept the pig tail.....i think its not a strenth thing...but adjustable buckets sound like the fix

Those coil springs took a beating. They held up fine.

The pigtail actually works well if you use a 2" square tube for your coil retainer. It helps keep the spring from rotating and flopping around.
