The RattleSnake Canyon trail runs from Lucerne Valley SW through the SanBernardino Mtns to Big Bear. About 30 miles and took about 7 hrs.

Yeah Curly. Gone should be a blast. You veterans will have to show us around the good spots.

I've actually only been to Moab once and I was running the trails by myself. So please don't call me a veteran i'll be in the rookie moab line with you bud.

Did bodyman (white Pathfinder) re-do the whole rear suspension or just long arm?

Ha. I'm look forward to tearin' up the trails though. We'll be veterans soon enough.

Bodyman and i both did the same thing to the rear links. Basically we moved the lower link mounts on the axle tube to just above the axle tube centerline and the upper link mounts up so that the links sit perfectly level. This also moved the axle back about and inch. It's been working great so far.. Bodyman also had to move his lower spring perches out an inch or so because the upper links would hit the coils due to the tremendous flex now.

do you have any pics of your suspension with the gas tank in the picture? I want to see what I will be up against in the next couple years if I were to go with a pathy gas tank on my xterra

I simply relocated my gas tank where the back seat used to be. reused the old crossmember, cut a hole in the floor and bent the fuel lines up. Done.

Damm those are nice pics...
I heard of the X tanks hangin kinda low, didnt know that the pathy tanks would fit and make a difference.

Yea relocating everything gave me about 3" more droop ,all links and shock mounts have been moved up about 3 "

Were the rear links only extended the 1" that the axle was moved back, or were the front mounting points moved forward too?

The links are untouched. The axle moved back as a consequence of leveling the links out. Actually, it re-centers the axle in the wheel well where it used to be. Hope i'm explaining this right.

I can't believe the travel you're getting out of simply moving the link mounting points around a little. Awesome job.
