How do the lexan skids work? And do you have some sort of backing material for them?

The Lexan skids are great I have not had any issues with them yet. the bolts holding them on are kind of exposed, but I was planning on getting some rock washers for them soon. just have not done it yet. they slide right off the rocks. the are backed with a sheet of steel for extra strength. I have slammed them on some pretty nasty stuff and they seem to do fine. I got the idea from the trail Lex, in petersons offroad. and my buddy from subway was throwing away a bunch of ex cutting boards. they are about 1" thick and 2' long. i cut them to the right size drilled holes and attached! work great for me!

Lexan is a great material to work with. It won't spidercrack like plexiglass because of the flexibility but it tends to scratch easy. I have used it as a rear window and for some dash work. After a run through silt in the dez I would have to blow air accorss the window to get the dust off. My cage ran through the window so I couldn't use glass. 1"! That's thick! That's bulletproof...literally!

Very cool!

it rides like a caddy.............with a solid axel! :D

it really rides nice! but without a swaybar it is kind or rolly when you go around a cornor. but I am going to throw in the rear swaybar, and try to do something custom up front. I got it all aligned today and it is sooooo nice. the guy at NTB even adjusted the ride hight to make it sit more level. when I hit the gas it still looks like a trophy truck. LOL but it stis a lot better. I still need to put in the new AAL, the DS and the skid but that will wait till next week.

sorry these flex pics are not the best it still had tons of room to flex but the hill was not steep enough. I need a fork lift or something. but you will get the idea.

http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w148/L1feguard83/006-1.jpg

and remember I did not have my Drive shaft, and I still crawled right up that hill :D ohh man I can't wait to wheel it! :D :D :D

if I can find a better place to flex I will try and get some more pics.[/
