View Full Version : Rear long arm conversion

For those that have done the conversion:

1. did you extend the rear driveshaft?
2. have any issues with short brake lines parking brake cable?
3. Are your upper links same length as your lowers?
4. What size DOM tubing did you use?
4. Have issues with springs contacting shocks or shocks contacting panhard? I'll be running 14" Bilsteins.

I have not extended my rear shaft, but will likely have to notch the crossmember to allow it to droop.
to lengthen the parking cable, get some allthread and attach it to the stock rod with a tall nut to extend it.
upper links are the same percentage longer than the lowers, but not the same length.
i used DOM from poison spyder, not sure what size it is but the stock links fit inside of it, so i cut them down and just stuck them in there, then welded it up.
i haven't gotten that far yet, it isn't road worthy so I don't know what happens when it flexes.
