Does anyone else have issues with their brakes? This will be my 3rd time doing the front brakes and I have just over 86K. The rotors are warping bad enough to have to be turned.

brake pad deposits left on the rotor are often mis-diagnosed as a warped rotor, but really are the result of cheapo pads. maybe try a better pad?

Are they physically getting low, or is it just due to the vibration?
If you lift the tires off of the ground, can you spin the tires easily?
How are the bearings? If the wheel bearings are misadjusted, then the wheel will wobble slightly, and cause the pads to wear faster as well. This is due to them having to move around more to stay in contact with the rotor (which is attatched to wheel, not the kunckle like the caliper is!). If the caliper slides then get a little sticky, then it's just a snowball effect going on.
Also, if you're replacing the rotors, not just turning them, then if you go with NAPA or other aftermarket brand rotors, install them on the hub, then have them turned! Yes, the new rotors from aftermarket are usually warped a fuzz, then you mount them on your old hubs and it's a recipe for more warpage.

Really? So even though they're new, you still need to run 'em...that's lame. Is there a rotor/setup you can do without getting them turned? I never had this problem on my cars...I'm going to be shopping for new brakes here in the next month.

My wife went thru front pads on our X @26K and 50K. I think needing 3 sets @86K is almost normal. We did not, however, need new rotors, just turned 'em.

What are these brakes you all speak of?
I'm at 50k+...still original. Added fluid for the first time yesterday.

I need to get in there and inspect. I am getting a squeak when its first started and backing out of the garage in the morning. Brakes plus did the last break job, I need to see what warranty I have on the pads. I had the rotors turned, last time, because of warping. The first set of rotors were too far out of spec so I replaced them at the time.

I had my original brakes replaced at ~30k miles (they were on the wear indicators). Just Brakes replaced them with the ceramic pads and they are now at ~80k.
