Looks like about what I'll be hauling up there. Minus rear shafts & bulbs. Make sure you bring a spare wheel & tire too:nana:

I would say it looks good.

Average breaks over the last couple years for the whole group.

1-2 Hubs per year
1-2 Front Axle shafts per year
Maybe one motor mount
Beyone those its random items that break.

Yeah those are easy to replace. And small enough to carry. All the axle shafts I have ever broke the ears on the shaft were toast too.

What are the most common things that break on a 2nd Gen Xterra?

I have a 2008 Xterra that is mostly stock, though I have done a complete set of Shrockworks skid plates and diff cover and 2" lift, alone with Goodyear Kevlar MTR tires. It's still under factory warranty, so haven't done many other mods yet. Thinking about some long travel upper control arms, though. I'm probably only going to do the easier trails each day at goneMOAB this year, so won't get too crazy with it.

Any suggestions for spare parts or items I should bring (considering limited budget and space)? Thanks!

if anything, you'll bust your front diff. Out of all the 2nd gen X's & Frontiers coming this year, there will be plenty of the essential parts. If you need something, there's a dealership in Grand Junction. If you blow your diff, and you're a non-OR model Automatic, I have a spare front diff here at my house. I know there will be front axle half shafts, u-joints, abs lines, etc for 2nd gen's in the condos - and all the tools to do the work. Everyone (myself included) who are staying in our condo (G4) has a 2nd gen.
