This was actually an officially sanctioned run with my work - it was part of a "retreat" function. Don't ask, I'm just glad they agreed to let 4-wheeling be allowed as a part of their plans.

Any hoo, since a lot of the pic's are of my Nissan Pathfinder (R50), I'd thought I'd post here...and the trail actually made me (and my Pathy) work a little to get to the top.

sweet! how much snow is up there, if any?

There was snow on the trail right at the top of the rock hill climb. I had to break through about 7 drifts that ranged anywhere from 1-3 feet deep on the way towards Ute Creek.

right on...i figured there was still some up there. Hmmm...maybe it's time to see how far I can get in the Yankee Hill trail complex.

Yeah, I almost picked Yankee Hill, but instead went with Cascade Creek because I had never been.

There was enough snow around 9000ft that we didn't even try to get up towards Saxon (also somewhere I've never been). I'd like to run Cascade over to Saxon as a nice loop some day (then get beer/dinner at Tommy Knockers). :beermug:

Good luck with Yankee, would like to hear how far you can get...I've never made it over (only tried in January and February though!).

sometime this summer, we'll hit the trails and Tommy Knocker for sure. I can't wait for June to run Spring Creek again.
