Well, they made me an offer I couldn't refuse so today I traded in the 2008 Xterra S for this:

We are looking forward to getting it out on the trails tomorrow. Nothing severe since the wife is still healing, but I hope to get the use the locker once. Once the financing in official, I will be having the 33's put back on it. But for now, stock will do.

Nice I think you will be much happier with the new one. Especially after getting your 33's back.

Well, I was happy with what I had (it was a 2008 model so same body style), but this is my 1st ever brand new vehicle and it has all the bells and whistles with the lockers and skids to boot. :D

Dude, that's awesome!
You know, you don't have to switch rides for every meet and greet. ;)

Well, it is actually a 2010. The one I had was an 2008. This one has so many bells and whistles that I will actually have to read the manual to see how stuff works. Especially since we are gonna run a couple of trails tomorrow.

Thanks. It is pretty dirty from wheeling with my wife, Kim, today. I didn't get many pics and didn't do anything too crazy, but I will post up a report in a bit.

Well, today it became official. I got the call around 12:30ish and the new OR is financed. I don't know all the particulars yet, but I was told they had to tweek some numbers in my favor and I should have the final contract in a day or so. I will be going in Friday afternoon to get my 33's put back on so she will look mean again. And the mudflaps will be coming off pretty soon, but only when I go wheeling.

Look for new pics later this week with the 33's installed. :D

And here we go again. IMO, the Frontier isn't all it is made out to be in stock form. So, once again, after just over 3 months of enduring the Frontier, I went down yesterday and got into this:

2009 Xterra S

No more pitching a tent to camp.

Loving the sunrise off the X.

Never again will I be without an Xterra. I already ditched the step rails and mudflaps so now she is ready to start wheeling. The mods will come slowly over time since I plan on keeping this one for a long time.

I was over at Dave's (seXterra) house this evening and we wheeled and dealed for this:

So, I am on my way to giving up gas mileage, but, most definitely, getting some better protection. One mod at a time.

So, I am on my way to giving up gas mileage...

I can testify to that claim. My new rig is a mega-pig when it comes to the ol' petrol and I'm sure it's due to all the armor weight it carries around. The peace of mind it gives me is worth it though when on the trail.

Finally got around to getting some 33s. Here are the new used tires I got off CL this morning. 305/70/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Paid $200 for the tires and $50 installation. Not a bad day.

Well, tonight, I picked up my new RockyMtnX Sliders from Steve. IMHO, Steve is DA MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :notworthy: Great looking product and great turnaround on short notice.

Here are a few pics of them in the back of the X. Sorry for the quality. I think the lens was a little dirty on my Droid 3.
