I picked up a free D44 housing, but it's missing its carrier bearing caps. I need to pick up a few sets so I can try to find some that are close enough to have them machined to match the housing. If you have any from a junked axle or if you have an axle headed to the scrap yard let me know. Going to the JY is out of the question right now so I'll take whatever I can get.

i have an old d44 in my back yard i can pull apart for you. it's a full size from a chevy. it has no shafts or anything, and i think 3.73 gears, and i've never pulled the cover on it. if you can wait till this weekend i'll pull it apart for you. let me know.

If you don't mind, that would be great. I could use the bolts too.

Thanks

ok I got em, send me a PM with your address and I'll get them boxed up and ready to ship. shouldn't be too much, it'll probably all fit in a flat rate box or even envelope.

Big 'ol thanks to Packman5280 for the bearing caps. I played around with them briefly last night and they are damn near perfect. A cylinder hone should clean up the miniscule difference at the parting line.
